Sustainable partnerships

At VPD, we strongly believe in the power of collaboration. That is why we establish partnerships with like-minded parties. Each has its specialisation and role to play. Besides our efforts in sustainable transport, we also invest in other partners and projects with a positive social or environmental impact.

WDP: Green Hub

WDP: Green Hub

In collaboration with WDP, owner of our buildings, we have transformed our headquarters into a Green Hub, focusing on sustainable energy supply and electric mobility:

⦁    12,000 m² of solar panels on the roof provide a peak power of 1.5 megawatts.
⦁    Part of this naturally generated energy is stored in our own battery with a capacity of 1376 kilowatts.
⦁    The battery is connected to 30 charging points for recharging our electric vehicles.

Green Deal

We are proud to be a member of the Green Deal for Sustainable Urban Logistics. We actively participate in this project, aiming to promote efficient and emission-free deliveries in cities.

Sustainable mobility is one of the greatest challenges for cities. Online purchases are increasing in number and speed, which requires more kilometres to be travelled to get packages to the end customer. At VPD, as a delivery partner, we focus on organising this process sustainably.

Go Forest

Every second counts, as every minute, 27 football fields of forest disappear.

That is why VPD supports the "Let's plan(t) the future together" project by Go Forest, aiming to plant more trees. In this way, we also contribute to a greener world.

Go Forest goes even further by addressing the root causes of deforestation, focusing on behavioural change.

Brothers of Solidarity – Helping the homeless

In addition to focusing on the environment, VPD also contributes to social projects. For several years, we have supported Brothers of Solidarity, a non-profit organisation that provides fresh meals, clothing, necessities, and food to the homeless and disadvantaged people of Brussels.

You can read more about it on their website.
