Our history

VPD was founded in 1946. At that time, our main activity was transporting construction materials and coal. Over the years, VPD has evolved from a small family business to an SME with 8 branches located at strategically important junctions.

VPD is able to respond perfectly to the numerous challenges that arise in the transport sector, thanks to our evolution and many years of expertise. This earned us the title of 'Transporter of the Year' in 2022.

VPD is responsible for delivering over 1600 shipments per day, specializing in last mile delivery. Service (whether customized or not) and customer-friendliness remain our keywords. VPD is committed to take a pioneering role in the future of transport.

At VPD, our people are our assets, which is why health and safety is an important part of our corporate culture. Our employees regularly receive training within our own training department 'VPD Academy', supplemented with extra training courses for our drivers, which are partly made possible by Drivolution.

VPD Academy

At VPD, we want to be a progressive employer. We give our employees the opportunity to develop, and continue to grow in their field. We invest as much as possible in training. This is why we have set up our own VPD Academy, where some of our experienced employees provide training to their colleagues. During training at the Academy, themes such as safety, order, cleanliness, and commercial aspects are discussed.

We share knowledge and new insights using internally developed training videos, role plays, situations, etc. On a regular basis, our employees are given a refresher course, or new operational training that they can apply immediately.

This enables us to always strive for optimal performance in our daily tasks, and to provide our customers with excellent service.
